About STIC
Sophisticated Test and Instrumentation Centre (STIC) in the Cochin University Campus
is an autonomous organization jointly supported by Cochin University of Science and
Technology (CUSAT) and Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and
Environment (KSCSTE). STIC is providing technical and consultancy support to a large
community of customers in Industries, R&D Organizations, Academic institutions etc.
by providing calibration & testing, elemental analysis and detections using
sophisticated instruments, training and consultancy services etc. STIC was granted
NABL accreditation for its calibration laboratories since 1999 and at present the Electro-
technical, Thermal and Mechanical parameters are accredited as per ISO/IEC 17025:
2017.
Considering the expertise build over the period and availability of well
qualified/skilled/ trained manpower, in addition to suitable high-end infrastructure
with NMI traceability, STIC is now venturing into Proficiency Testing services, which is
a comprehensive one step solution to ensure the competitiveness of the participant
laboratory.
We are happy to inform you that STIC has been granted with
accreditation as PT provider as per the new standard "ISO/IEC
17043: 2023" by NABL, vide Certificate No. PC-1091. Presently
the PT services are offered in the Thermal and Mechanical areas.
